Tis the Season!

Our town had it's annual Christmas Parade this week. We were able to catch the tree lighting right before they started the countdown but we missed the parade this year. It was still fun and a great way to kick off this year's Christmas season. The kids loved the tree being lit up and guess who happened to be there to see all the festivities? That's right you guessed it! Santa! As you can see Conner was thrilled to see Santa, but he wanted to know where the Reindeer were. Katie on the other hand was not as happy to be near Jolly Ole St. Nick. Maybe next time! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Conner's Field Trip

Conner's first school field trip to Smith Family Farm here in Brentwood. They got to listen to some fun music in the barn, see all the farm animals, go through a haystack tunnel, go on a hayride to where we got to pick out pumpkins to take home. It was fun to see him interact with his friends. He's growing up so fast! It was freezing though that day and really windy so nobody stayed too long!

Happy Halloween 2009!

What a great Halloween! We went through five bags of candy here and ended up turning off the lights at 9:30! We have a ton of candy, both kids could barely hold their bags anymore. Of course we also ended up carrying both of them for the last two blocks since they were suddenly so tired! Conner even whined for most of the trick or treating that he wanted to go home because he was tired! So different from Kevin and I, we probably could have trick or treated for two more hours as kids!

We all dressed up this year as usual, since Kevin and I are still kids at heart. Conner ended up ditching his Batman costume we bought him this year in favor of his Spiderman costume from last year. Go figure! Katie and I were fairies with homemade costumes made by my uber-talented mom. Thanks mom!
Dad and Cathy came over to help us celebrate Halloween and they too like to get into the spirit. Dad was a court jester and Cathy was a cute little mouse! We had a lot of fun with them...except Katie was a little timid of the mouse nose and ears at first. Once she realized Grandma was underneath she was fine. Hope you all had a safe, fun and Happy Halloween! Now on to Christmas!

Pumpkin patch time! This year we went to several different Pumpkin Patches. First we went to Del Osso Family Farms with Nana and Pop...there we got two pumpkins. This place has enough things to do to spend at least a whole day there, there are over 20 rides and attractions for the family to enjoy. Food booths, gem minning, playgrounds, hay rides, train rides, and haunted houses along with corn mazes. It was amazing! It was also hot!!! We all had fun though.

Grandma's 89th Birthday party at the Redwood National Forest in Guerneville, CA. I hope I look this good if I live to be 89!

Our last beach trip of the summer...maybe not of the year since it is still summer weather here! This would make a great Christmas card picture! Hmmmmm.....

The many sides of Katie

There is a saying that girls are made of sugar and spice...well as you can see here is my sugar and spice little girl!

Conner's First Day of School

Conner started preschool back on August 4th, Kevin and mine 9 year anniversary! My how time flies by...not only have we been married that long but our baby started school! I was worried about how he would handle being away from home, he is my little homebody. Luckily they had a sneak peak at school with the parents to get an idea of what they can expect. The first day I expected tears, mine and his, and possibly having to stay with him convincing him it would be ok. Let's just say I barely got a hug goodbye and he took off...and he hasn't looked back since. He loves preschool, loves Mrs. Greene and the other teachers, made lots of friends and is learning so much. My baby is growing so fast!
